About Annie-Obi

Ifeanyichukwu Annie Obi is a writer, artist, wife, mother, and a firm believer in purpose. She wears many hats, but at her core, she is a storyteller. For her, words have always been a refuge; a space where emotions find expression and life’s complexities begin to make sense.

The youngest of three sisters, she grew up immersed in fiction, exchanging novels with friends and searching for hidden literary gems in Yaba Market on her way home from high school. Her love for words led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, followed by a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy. However, she believes that life itself; its joys, fears, and quiet moments, has been her greatest teacher.

Annie’s writing journey began at the age of eight, when she first poured her anger and resentment onto paper. Over time, her words evolved; from rebellion to reflection, from frustration to self-awareness. Today, she writes with grace for her weaknesses, embracing both the strength and fragility within her.

Ambitious, hardworking, and deeply loyal, she faces change with trepidation, finds meeting new people unsettling, and fears the unknown. Yet, she moves forward; choosing to act despite her fears. She dances with her shadow, laughs the loudest in a room full of friends, and turns melancholic when no one is watching.

At her heart, she is a homemaker and a dreamer; a Christian navigating faith and fear, a mother shaping the world of one, and a woman who finds beauty in both certainty and uncertainty. Her journey continues to unfold, and through her writing, she invites others to walk it with her.
